Morgan starred in Morgan was featured in a Safe Sex for Men and Women informational video on AIDS prevention and education. The profits from this film were donated in part to the American Foundation for AIDS Research. Morgan is a part-time member of the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan also led other fundraising projects, and she also testified on a Congressional panel discussing AIDS awareness. Morgan is on the Board of Governors of APLA and Amfar's Board of Directors. Former Surgeon-General C. Everett Koop has asked her on occasion to fill in for him during AIDS occasions and has hosted an AIDS Awareness Special together with news anchorman Steve Bell. She's appeared on Nightline with Ted Koppell regarding AIDS. Morgan was nominated for the Emmys for Diane English's Murphy Brown special written especially for Morgan. In spring, she co-starred with Joan Rivers in ABC television's Your Money or Your Wife. The summer started with Murder At The PTA Luncheon which was produced by Von Zerneck/Sertner. Marla Gibbs and Cindy Williams as well appeared. Morgan's next production sent her to Luxembourg for Harmony Gold's production of Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady with Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee. Morgan also appeared in the psychological thriller produced for USA Network. The film garnered one of its most impressive ratings to date.
